Flagging options not enough

Hi

I clicked on the Flag just to see what it was or what it's options were...and it flagged the posted ad.

Why don't you have some selective options offered before it just flags something?????

The ad that I was looking at DID need to be flagged...BUT again...you should have selective options. This particular ad was for items in the San Francisco Bay area...The Kashless postings I was looking at are in my area...Houston, TX. So naturally I thought that the ads we should be "able" to view should be from HOUSTON area, NOT San Francisco.

As well...there have been a NUMBER of FRAUD ads posted and people have been "victimized" by sickos who feel the need to prey on others here. These people have posted ads using offensive language because they were "caught" at their own deed OR have posted links that once clicked on, people have had their computers infected with Trojan viruses.

I realize that there is only a certain amount that you can do about this...but it is POSSIBLE to monitor and remove suspected posts. FreeCycle does...and they have quite a large public use base. As a matter of fact they keep a close watch on posts.

Yes...I know that it is pretty much "User Beware". But as well...Kashless DOES have some responsibility in this. Yes it does take man hours to do this...but again...my belief is...IF you put it out there, then you MUST be responsible, otherwise with the negative that I have been seeing from just here in Houston...it won't be long before integrity is lost and it will go the route of other failed sites. So here's hoping to see the "good" intent you meant this for.

Thank you for your comments. Yes we know Freecycle has tens of thousands of volunteers to monitor posts. We have a community moderation model that means you have to flag posts you don't like and they will be removed by the system. There are four options for flagging, miscategorized, prohibited, duplicate/spam or Best of Kashless. just click on the one you want. If everyone votes, the system will clean itself up.

    thank you.
